Biomedical Technology belongs to the leading growth sectors in a national and global perspective. Key technologies like medical imaging, or minimally invasive surgery are showing us daily the potential of biomedical developments. Globalization of markets and a strong customer orientation, which are typical for the field of biomedical engineers, ensure very good employment perspectives.

Our graduates use engineering know-how to evaluate and solve problems in medicine and therefore providing an improvement of health care. They work with other health care professionals including physicians, nurses, therapists and technicians. The degree "Master of Science" qualifies for positions in research and development and delivers skills required for scientific work up to postgraduate programs (e.g. PhD, Promotion).
Teaching and assessments are predominantly in English language, but German is spoken in all laboratories and is the predominant language at the University. Therefore, knowledge in German language is needed.
